On Monday, 24 October, Solvita Āboltiņa, Speaker of the Saeima, in her letter to Cemil Çiçek, Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of the Republic of Turkey, expressed condolences regarding the devastating earthquake in the Van province that took lives of more than 200 people.
On behalf of the Saeima, Solvita Āboltiņa expressed heartfelt condolences to the people of Turkey and the families mourning the untimely loss of their loved ones.
